Meet Our Wedding Party

  • Sutter, Best Dog

In April of 2014, Kayleigh adopted this reserved good boy. After a week with his new mom, Sutter came out of his shell, revealing his opinionated, feisty, hilarious, and sweet personality. While initially skeptical of Remy (but a total fan of Trent), Sutter eventually came around, deciding that having Remy as his little brother and wrestle buddy was low-key the best thing that ever happened to him.

  • Remy, Best Dog

Trent’s son, Remy, was born January 30, 2019. An excitable good boy, Remy was particularly thrilled when Trent took him to Piggy’s on that fateful night in October. Even though Remy chewed through his leash that night, as the two retreated to the car post date, Remy gave Trent his boof of approval. That single affirmation has led us to where we are today!

  • Pippa, Best Sissy

Kayleigh’s sassy sister, Pippa, attended Trent and Kayleigh’s first date (with Sutter and Remy also in attendance). While not an initial fan of Remy (she may or may not have attacked him), she eventually gave her blessing to Trent and Kayleigh (and, somewhat begrudgingly, to Remy too).

  • Travis, Ring Bearer

Trent’s nephew, Travis, first met Kayleigh and Trent in March of 2021! His boyish good looks have already put him on the map for People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2042.

  • Isla, Flower Girl

Isla is Kayleigh’s cousin and kindred spirit as a lover of all feminine and girly things. She is a true sweetheart who is a fan of dress up, books, unicorns, dolls, and Peppa Pig.

  • Xander, Officiant

Xander and Trent met the first night of college at the University of Notre Dame. After navigating the trauma that was Domerfest, the two formed a deep friendship founded on jam sessions, quads, basketball, the fusion dance, and traveling abroad together in the Fall of 2013. Trent is particularly looking forward to hearing Xander perform Jason Derulo’s It Girl after managing to dodge this bet for nearly seven years.

  • Chanel, Maid of Honor

A turn of fate left two Southern Methodist University freshman (Kayleigh and Chanel) both in need of a new roommate in the middle of their first year at college. Paired together by chance, the two formed an immediate bond over their love for beauty sleep, girl talk, dancing, and taking their studies seriously. A whip-smart attorney and beauty queen, Chanel can do it all. Kayleigh can’t wait to dance the night away with her come October.

  • Chris, Best Man

High school friends to roommates and now, each other’s best men, Chris and Trent have run the gauntlet together. The two have made countless memories over the years, including but not limited to dinner parties, crawfish boils, and raising two mini golden-doodles together in the same house. With their shared love of corndogs and Drake, this profound friendship has grown into a brotherhood.

  • Kellyn, Bridesmaid

Kayleigh and Kellyn became friends during their freshman year at SMU. The two shared laughs over (spilled) Chick Fil A and bonded over their love for self-deprecating humor, dogs, architecture, and interior design. Nights watching The Bachelorette at Kellyn’s and the addition of Kellyn’s dog, Bendel, further sweetened their friendship.

  • Matthew, Groomsman

Matthew and Trent share a unique bond, in that Matthew is Trent’s godfather within the Catholic Church! More importantly, Trent and Matthew became friends freshman year at Notre Dame, after Matthew begged to watch The Office one afternoon in Trent’s room in the fall. In retrospect, they both agreed it was more of a pity hang for the other person.

  • Peter, Groomsman

Peter and Trent became roommates for one semester at Notre Dame. Though brief in time, their friendship has transcended that shared space, and is now pervasive through their joint Instagram account, @TrentandHisDisciples. In reality, Peter and Trent share a strong friendship predicated on television shows, music they love to love, and giving the people what they want when it comes to serving “looks.”

  • Simone, Bridesmaid

Simone and Kayleigh first became friends through their sorority, Chi Omega, at SMU. Though Simone was a much cooler upperclassman, she took Kayleigh under her wing, guiding her through the advertising world and beyond. Simone’s playful nature and up-for-anything attitude has been the perfect counterpart to Kayleigh’s more introverted ways through the years.

  • Tien, Groomsman

Trent met Tien six years ago, when Tien proposed to Tiffany (Trent’s sister), after a whirlwind romance that included taking her to Disney World! The brother Trent never had, Tien and Trent have formed a close bond sharing interests in food, Star Wars, their Teslas, staying up late to watch movies, and their ever-growing love for Tien and Tiffany’s son, Travis.

  • Tiffany, Bridesmaid

Kayleigh, an only child, has always wanted a sister. She’s ecstatic that marrying Trent means gaining his sister, Tiffany, as her own. Kayleigh and Tiffany first bonded over their love for Travis (Tiffany and Tien’s son) and all things baby. Tiffany and Kayleigh also share a passion for luxuriously comfy pajamas (shout out to Lake and Dental Boss!), Shake Shack burgers, and roasting Trent (with love!).

  • Frank, Groomsman

As one of Trent’s dads, Frank has made a profound impact in Trent’s life. In reality, Trent and Frank became roommates during their senior year at Notre Dame. Frank was a calming, yet strong presence their shared house of 10 dudes. Their friendship grew deeper as they both trained for the Holy Half, while running countless 200m laps at Rolf’s. Most importantly, Frank won the original 40 nugget challenge, sponsored by McDonalds!

  • Peter, Groomsman

Peter and Trent officially met the summer of junior year while interning at Target in Minneapolis! While not running in the same circles at school, the two made the decision to not only become roommates, but friends too, as the duo moved to Minnesota after graduating from Notre Dame. The decision yielded amazing memories including but not limited to many Rock Band nights, a black cat party, and the greatest food truck idea known to man!

  • Melissa, Bridesmaid

Roommates in SMU’s Chi Omega house, Melissa and Kayleigh bonded quickly over their love for dogs, dance parties, girls nights in, and decorating. Chance placed the two in Houston (only a 10 minute drive from each other) some 10 years later. Kayleigh has been able to witness Melissa joyfully enter motherhood and Melissa has been able to witness Trent and Kayleigh’s relationship since the beginning! Cheers to many more double (and doodle) dates with Mel and her hubby James!

  • Jack, Groomsman

Another of Trent’s dads, Jack and Trent have known each other since freshman year at Notre Dame! The two have gone on many adventures together, including studying abroad in London as juniors, creating the Battle of Hamm’s Deep while watching the Desolation of Smaug, as well as driving to Grand Rapids, Michigan, to link up and buy drinks for a band, post concert at a knock off Chili’s!

  • Samantha, Bridesmaid

Samantha and Kayleigh became friends their freshman year at SMU. Always a source of laughter, joy, fun, and (sometimes) mischief, Samantha has always been gifted at bringing out Kayleigh’s playful side. At the same time, Samantha has also been a calming influence in Kayleigh’s life, offering countless words of wisdom, encouragement, and support through the years.

  • Nick, Groomsman

Trent’s final dad, Nick became roommates with Trent during their senior year at Notre Dame. With shared interests in dancing, Nick and Trent have never said no to opening the group’s favorite bar, Finnis, at 9:30pm. While they still dance their butts off when they are together, their friendship has continued to grow through many visits to each other’s cities, the McNugget power hour, being Mama La’s East Coast ambassador, and memorizing and reciting most of Beerfest’s dialogue.

  • Nick, Usher

One of Trent’s friends since high school, Nick and Trent also attended Notre Dame together! Though in different majors and dorms, the two remained close over the years. When Trent moved back to Houston, Nick was one of the first people to greet him with open arms. These days, you can catch the two at their favorite karaoke bar in Houston on Fridays, grabbing a beer while watching the Irish play on Saturdays, or playing basketball until their backs give out on Sundays.

  • Jen, House Party

Introduced by Melissa, Jen was one of Kayleigh’s first friends after moving to Houston. Welcoming Kayleigh with open arms, Jen was one of Treyleigh’s (Trent and Kayleigh) biggest fans from day one. Jen and her husband Stew have bonded with Trent and Kayleigh over a shared love of dogs (hi Piper!), good (Cajun or Vietnamese) food, cute baby clothes, The Bachelorette (yes, Trent and Stew do watch from time to time), Old Fashioneds, and bitcoin (with the latter two being mostly Stew and Trent’s thing).

  • Ryan, Usher

Trent’s first friend in high school, Ryan met Trent in geometry class their freshman year at Strake Jesuit. The two also played football together their freshman and sophomore years. While neither saw too much time on the football field (mostly Trent), they shared an interest in video games, as well as an inability to talk to girls. While they don’t currently live in the same city, when they do see each other, they are able to pick up right where they left off. And you better believe there will be blitzing and buckets of bones involved!

  • Katie, House Party

The wife of Trent’s Best Man Chris, Katie came into Kayleigh’s life soon after she started dating Trent. A bubbly, friendly, charismatic, and generous Katie showered Kayleigh with love from the beginning. Katie has been the perfect sounding board and support system for all things engagement, wedding, dogs (hi Archie!), house, and family as Kayleigh and Trent embark on the next chapter of their lives alongside Katie and Chris in theirs.

  • Nick, Usher

Trent and Nick met while working at Target in Minneapolis, after graduating from Notre Dame, though Nick swears the two had a class together sophomore year (they didn’t)! As a key player on Nick’s flag football team, Trent added value by going 2 for 3 in his career as 3rd string quarterback. Though they both later left Minneapolis in pursuit of other opportunities and warmer weather, the kinship the two share has only continued to grow, particularly in their love for Baccarat.
